Mini-1506 Micro Bending Machine: Selection Reference for Precision Small-Part Processing

With the growing demand for precision hardware, electronic components, and other small parts, micro bending machines have become the dedicated solution for niche processing scenarios. As a typical small-format precision bending device, the Mini-1506 serves as the mainstream reference model for small-part machining.

I. Machine Positioning and Basic Configuration

The Mini-1506 is a small dedicated CNC bending machine, belonging to the Mini series product line. In the model designation, "15" stands for a nominal pressure of 150 kN (15 tons), and "06" indicates an effective bending length of 600 mm, targeting precise bending of small-sized workpieces.

Unlike conventional universal bending machines with 3–4 m bed lengths, this model adopts an integrated compact body design, occupying only about one-third of the footprint. It requires no heavy foundation and can be placed on ordinary hardened floors, allowing flexible deployment in workshop stations, R&D laboratories, or as a supplementary unit in production lines.

II. Core Performance and Technical Features

As a forming machine for precision small parts, the Mini-1506 delivers performance oriented toward accuracy and flexibility.

• Accuracy: Servo drive combined with position feedback devices achieves slider repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.02 mm and back gauge positioning accuracy of ±0.05 mm, stably ensuring dimensional and angular tolerances to meet precision assembly requirements.

• Operation: Equipped with a CNC system supporting parametric programming and process storage. Operators can directly call programs during changeovers. Coupled with quick-clamping tooling, this enables high efficiency when switching between multiple variants and small batches, while reducing reliance on operator experience.

• Operating Cost: The servo system outputs power on demand, with low no-load standby consumption. Compared with traditional hydraulic models of equivalent capacity, comprehensive electricity usage is reduced by over 40%, delivering significant long-term cost advantages.

III. Typical Processing Applications

The Mini-1506 is suited to four main application scenarios:

1. Precision Hardware Small Parts: Electronic enclosures, lock components, kitchen/bathroom hardware, instrument parts, etc. These workpieces feature small dimensions and tight tolerances, making them ideal for more accurate micro-machine processing.
2. R&D and Prototyping: R&D centers and laboratories use it for rapid trial production of new products without occupying large-machine capacity. Setup is fast and costs are low.
3. High-Mix, Low-Volume Production: For job shops with varied, small orders, the micro machine handles small-part specialization while larger machines serve as the main production force, resulting in a more rational workflow division.
4. High-Cleanliness Requirements: Servo drive eliminates hydraulic oil contamination, making it suitable for stainless steel products, medical accessories, electronic components, and other workpieces with strict surface cleanliness demands.

IV. Selection Reference Points

Selection should be based on actual production conditions to avoid inappropriate matching.

• Workpiece Size: If over 80% of daily workpieces are ≤600 mm in length, the Mini-1506 offers the best cost-effectiveness. For predominantly long parts, a universal large model is more suitable.

• Material Thickness: The 15-ton model is designed for thin sheets: full-width bending recommended for cold-rolled steel ≤1.0 mm and stainless steel ≤0.6 mm. For short-edge bending (bending length ≤100 mm), thickness can extend to cold-rolled steel ≤2 mm and stainless steel ≤1.2 mm. Excessively thick materials should be processed on higher-tonnage machines.

• Space and Capacity: When floor space is limited, small-part capacity needs to be supplemented, or prototyping is the primary use, the micro machine is the optimal choice. For high-volume standard parts production, evaluate the overall efficiency of large models.

The Mini-1506 is a dedicated solution for precision small-part processing, not merely a scaled-down version of a universal large machine. For factories focused on small workpieces or large plants needing to supplement small-part capacity, selecting this type of specialized machine ensures accuracy while effectively reducing production and space costs, thereby improving overall efficiency.
